Take a Break 歇息片刻: MADE IN PENANG - Interactive Museum 美因槟榔

槟城的魔镜系列壁画引起了大家对古迹文化区的关注，顿时成了游客必到的热门拍照景点。到槟城游玩，没有和「姐弟共骑」或是「反应老槟城风俗的铁线漫画装置艺术」合影，旅途就好像缺少了什么。后来，越来越多的壁画开始出现，有些在餐厅，有些在自家大门，甚至有了「工程庞大」的寻找101只失踪猫咪街头艺术。艺术与发展并存是件好事，但「多」也是一种泛滥，旅客的旅行焦点从古迹观赏转移到了五彩缤纷，颜色庸俗的各类壁画。

这一股热潮至今还未停止，却衍生新的形式——十一月开张的Made In Penang Interactive Museum（美因槟榔3D博物馆），中文名字音译Made In Penang，美丽是因为槟榔屿。

As you guys know, Penang had been fill with “Mirror Georgetown” mural which aroused many attention to the cultural heritage zone. You can’t say that you had visit Penang if you did not take photo with the famous “sibling riding bicycle” or “rail comic art”. It just feels like you are missing something else. Later, more mural began to appear, some in the restaurant, some in their own doors. Even there are 101 missing cat street arts which require you to find all those cat in the heritage area. Coexistent of art and development is a good thing, but when it became too much, traveller’s focus will shifted from watching heritage to all the colorful mural art.

The craze has not yet stopped, this emerge into new forms. That is Made In Penang Interactive Museum that opened at November.

Made in Penang Interactive Museum主要分为两个部分。底楼为微型雕像，是艺术家花了许久时间的呕心沥血制作，手工相当精细。第二楼的小博物馆里主要展现一幅幅述说槟城点滴的立体生动的3D画作，由六位艺术家合力打造，听说这些画作也会随着季节更换，毕竟一个地方的历史文化单靠几幅画是说不完的。

不管这些艺术是否更让人能了解槟城风俗，但势必引起一大波摄影风潮。这一趟摄影之旅，希望大家能在拍照摆姿势出奇制胜的当时，也能细心发掘咱们文化中美丽的一面。

Made in Penang Interactive Museum is divided into two parts. On the first floor, there are miniature statue which is manually made by the artist. These take a lot of time and patient in order to produce this entire painstaking miniature statue. The main show was located on the second floor of the museum which shows all the cultural activity and custom that happened in Penang. All this arts are presented in the form of 3D. They are jointly created by 6 artists. Besides that, these paintings will be changing along with the seasons.

Regardless of whether people will understand all these Penang customs, this museum definitely will cause a big wave of photography trend. This photographic trip, we are not only posing with this entire crazy pose but also to carefully explore the beautiful side of our culture.

艺术家在处理这些微型雕像的过程中很注重细节，看下图繁华时期老槟城的搬运工人身上的汗水，采用指甲水点滴，头发的纹理也展现得相当细致，又或者是上图外国游客购买马来椰浆饭的雕像，细节体现在包裹椰浆饭的报纸，每个英文字母都能看到一清二楚，南洋建筑的门窗栅栏相当真实反映槟城古迹面貌。

In the process of this entire miniature statue, we can tells that the artist pay a lot of attention to the detail. If you refer to the photo below, you can see the sweat on the worker’s body. You can also clearly see all the hair texture or even the English letter on the nasi lemak packaging. The fence, door and windows of Nanyang style building were built beautifully which give a true reflection of Penang monuments.

这几张图只是博物馆里的冰山一角，当你入场后，热情的工作人员会为你介绍，也会找过一些寻找细节，发现这些微型雕像的有趣之处。接下来，就是第二楼的3D画作摄影馆，游客来这一游，必须费劲脑子，发挥天马行的空想象力方能拍出与众不同的照片。

This few pictures is just a tip of the iceberg in this museum. When you enter the museum, their enthusiastic staff will explain each of the display to you and also show you all those detail on the miniature statue that worth to have a look. After that, you will enter the second floor, where you need to show your creativity in order to take distinctive photo. There are endless possibilities for you to pose with the 3D art, but the thing is you need to be creative.

3D博物馆的画作旁边有一张小照片给你参考，地上也有标准的摄影位置。那边的人潮多的时候会拥挤，比较特别的画作需要排队，如果你要拍出别树一帜的照片，那么动作举止可能要高调些，姿势换一换，不要害羞，不介意别人的眼光。

我们下面的照片就是人群的关注和笑声下拍出来的，你也为我们欢呼吧。

Beside all these 3D art have a reference photo that allow you to use it as reference and there are also mark on the floor which provide standard position for the photographer to stand. There will be crowded most of the time and some special art require you to queue up if you want to take photo with it. If you want to shoot unique some photos, you need to be shameless of course. Imagine that there are only you and your friend was in the museum.

The photo below are taken under crowds attention and laughter. Don't be shy, they will cheer for you.

这里的灯光有点偏黄片黯淡，导致照片效果并不太好，最明显的是人物的影子和照片里的影子不同方向。有些照片的拍摄位子重叠，所以人潮拥挤是你会开始产生不耐烦的心情，劝大家参观时记得排队守秩序，也不要站在不该站的位子碍着别人拍照。给他人一份尊重，也等于给自己一份尊重。

此外，喜欢和朋友互动的同学也可以去拍双人画作。

The lighting here is slightly yellowish, which cause the low quality of the photo. Why we say so? Because you can obviously see it from the shadow, where our shadow is totally opposite to the art’s shadow. Some photo shoot position is overlapping which is the main reason that it becomes so crowded. So, we sincerely advise people who visits please remember to queue up and do not stand on the places where you will interrupt others taking their photo. Give people some respect is also equal to give you a respect.

In addition, those who like to interact with friends can also try to take photo with the couple painting.

在入门前有幅长长的壁画，不过我们是等到离开时才开始拍摄。这个地方我们一呆就呆了好几个小时，比我们预计的时间长了许多。离开的当时，门闸已经关了一半，这两张照片就当时我们的告别之作吧。

Along the hallway before the entrance, there is also some mural that you can take photo with. The time we spend on this places are way longer than our expectation. When we are going to leave, their gate is already half close. This 2 photos are the last photo we taken here.

Made in Penang Interactive Museum座落在槟城码头对面历史价值非凡的百年老屋，停车场是附近的街道空地，因此的步行一小段路才能抵达。博物馆的开放时间为每日早上9时至中午6点，入门票氛围三类，即外国游客（RM30），持有马来西亚登记证的成人（RM15）与学生/儿童（RM10）。

目前新开张，门票享有优惠价，我们三人带着学生证，优惠价每人RM5，但不知优惠持续多久。欲获得更准确的详情，建议致电询问，不过相信我们，这票价有所值。

Made in Penang Interactive Museum is located opposite to weld quay. You can find your car park nearby and walk a small distance to reach here. The operation time is from 9am to 6pm. For the ticket price, foreigner (RM30), those with Malaysia identity card (RM15) and student/ children (RM10).

As this is still newly open, they have promotion on their ticket. 3 of us get a promotion price of RM5 as we bring along our student card but we not sure how long the promotion will last. For more information, kindly contact them. At last, please do believe us, this worth the money you pay for it.
