忙着新年忙着生活，部落搁着好长一段时间没更新，等着记录的标题列表也越来越多。暂时，只能筛选几次愉快的聚会做记录分享，其余的就在睁眼闭眼的情况下忽视它。不能贪婪地把每一次见面都化成文字，然后粗糙整理成文。这里的每一帖子，写的内容虽然不多不完整，但感动的情绪却是日后我重温时所忘不了的。照片文字串联起来，便是我生活中的一个画面，像短短的影片，平凡得只剩下开心。
It
has been a while we did not update our blog. Guess that you guys know the
reason. It’s Chinese New Year!!! We should not work during Chinese New Year
right… it will bring bad luck. *Just kidding. After Chinese New Year, those
pending post start to pile up and we finally have time to start writing on
it.

当天，我们在五条路的Macallum Connoisseurs吃了早午餐后，便开始找咖啡馆静坐下来聊天度午后时光。槟城不乏各式各风格的咖啡馆，可当想找间符合心境的咖啡馆，却伤脑经，往往只能在路上东转西绕，凭感觉观察和选择，然后期待惊喜。
After
we had our brunch at
Macallum Connoisseurs, we left there and seek for a comfy
coffee shop to have some chit chat done. Nowadays, Penang was filled with all
kind of café that give us a tough decision to make. Usually, we just round and
round without any idea. Somehow, we will make a decision once we saw the
suitable café and we know it was the one without saying it out.

这个午后，日光不太强烈，亦不温和，咖啡馆大片落地玻璃窗任由自然光明亮映入，漆黑色瓷砖勾勒出柜台的轮廓，背后是水泥砌成的红砖墙。我们在透亮空间的角落找个位子，圆形的吊灯倒映着咖啡馆地面的活动，木制摆设与混搭体现出简约时尚的美式风格，大爱这种利落的舒适自由。这种空间，一个人到来静坐阅读写字，两个人谈情说俏皮话，三四五人聚会都适合都自在。如果你和我一样，喜欢明朗清新优雅的空间，有好喝的咖啡果汁，吃不腻的蛋糕，那么不要错过这间小小的咖啡馆。
咖啡馆吸引我的地方不仅是喝咖啡吃蛋糕，而是贩售一种生活品质与理想的追求。
Bricklin
Bar Café is a very chic yet classic café. The red brick wall gives you a
classic vintage feel. While the black shinny working station give you a chic
modern feel. Don’t forget about the details. The door handle, lamp and etc were
painted in rose gold. See, how chic is it. The first things that come to our
mind is downtown, Brooklyn.
A good coffee shop not only sells good quality
coffee, they sell quality of life and thought of living.

后记：Thomas Powell – From Here to There
Bricklin Bar Café
was located at Hin Bus Depot. Its happen that was
Thomas Powell’s “From Here to”
art excibition. We did not in depth knowledge about how to value the art, but
we can’t value art right. Here is an article that interview Thomas Powell – “
Here,There and Everywhere with Thomas Powell”. If you are interested, just go have a
read and understand each pieces of art.

回来后，开始查找画家的一些资料和画作，发现他在槟城这小岛里留下了不少作品， Macalister
Mansion 精品酒店的其中两三间套房便有画家的作品与设计。最让我印象深刻的他曾创作十二生肖，把十二只形象性格各异的动物拟人化，化成古时候的各种人间角色，惟肖惟妙的神情让我盯住好久，希望日后机会能亲眼欣赏这系列的画作。
After that day,
Kim makes some research about Thomas Powell. Kim found out that he have quite a
few works done at Penang. An art pieces in few rooms on Macalister Mansion were
also created and designed by him. Kim told us that among all the art of Thomas,
he love the 12 Chinese zodiac the most. He just can’t forget about it and keep
on praising the artist after he saw it online.
