升旗山是槟城避暑的热门旅游景点,山上空气凉快清爽,在高处观景台可以鸟瞰岛屿风光与槟威大桥。值得一提的是,山上有个特别清幽的古典英国殖民别墅餐厅,David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace,宽敞的绿荫庭院池畔种植了睡莲,这似曾相似的画面让我想起莫奈的印象派画作,睡莲总是能在变化无穷的水波光影中幽幽绽放,清丽脱俗的伸向天空。餐厅的高原户外用餐环境,让人心旷神怡,得以在大自然的美丽中解脱劳累和放松。

Penang Hill is one of the popular tourist attractions in Penang where it is a cool retreat for the tourist from the heat of the lowlands. You can enjoy the cool breeze on top of the hill and enjoy the stunning view from the hill towards Gelugor and Jerejak island. David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace is located in one of the earliest buildings built by David Brown on Strawberry Hill. It has a classical British colonial design with a huge water lily pond at the courtyard. Having a meal at this outdoor environment makes you forget all of your stress and recharge yourself.

情人节即将到来,庆祝的是诚意,分享的是情意,David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace推出五道菜的情人节套餐,定位为两位RM338.00++,精选的菜式包括头盘开胃南极岩礁扇虾浓汤、主菜有胡辣椒酱汁鸡肉卷、葡萄酒汁焖羊肉、香煎谷饲牛柳等。若提前预定付费这一套情人节晚餐,餐厅将在当日赠送一瓶红酒或白酒,细心为你炮制一个贴心浪漫洋溢的夜晚。

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and surely every couple is busy searching for a good restaurant to celebrate it. David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace has come out with a 5 course Valentine’s Day menu which only cost RM338.00++ for 2 people. Featured dishes include lobster bisque, chicken roulade, lamb stew, pan seared grain fed tenderloin and more. If you made a reservation and make full payment on 14 Feb 2016, you will get a free bottle of red or white house wine. This valentine’s day package also available on 12 Feb and 13 Feb 2016 too but you won’t get a free bottle of wine.

David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace的料理呈现简单干净,有几道我特别喜欢的食物,开胃浓汤的南极岩礁扇虾肉肉鲜甜,微辣的芳草提味,汤汁滑而顺口;主菜的肉食烹调火候熟度适中,葡萄酒汁焖羊肉是我的心头好,酱汁醇厚,入口时还能品尝焖得软嫩的味鲜,而且没有腥味。温馨的情人节,和心爱一边品尝美味的餐点,一边观望夜空,醉人的城市美景就在脚下,家家户户灯火通明,流动的光影在街市明亮闪烁,一场甜蜜的恋爱回忆就从此定格成美满幸福的人生风景。

David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace really impress us with the ingredient that they use to prepare all the dishes. There are a few dishes that we like so much in this menu. Lobster bisque is so appetizing and warms your stomach. The slippery lobster meat is so fresh and the chef elevates the taste of the soup with some spiciness in it. Lamb stew is also one of our favorite dishes where the lamb was perfectly cooked. Together with the port wine sauce, it is a perfect match. This Valentine’s Day menu surely will impress your love one and both of you will have a memorable dinner there.

David Brown's Restaurant and Tea Terrace除了提供西式和亚洲风味餐点,当中最著名的是英式下午茶,坐在莲花池畔旁的花园座位,一壶红茶一口司康饼,听鸟语啁啾,闻花香扑鼻,就能舒服度过一个慵懒写意的午后。

梁文道曾经坚持说:饮茶首先应该是一种时间的概念;就和西式的下午茶一样,那是一段神奇的时光,在劳碌紧凑的日常生活里开出了一片时间之外的例外时间。它是上午、中午,还是下午,这都不重要;重要的是在这段时间里面你无所用心,自然放松既能与陌生人共桌交谈,也能同枱饮茶各自修行;既能和一家老小闲话家常,也能放着伴侣不管低头只顾自己的报纸。这么饮下来,这一餐茶往往一不小心就从上午坐到中午,浑然不觉时光流逝匆匆。就算你在数字上坐得不长,可感觉上它却悠然得近乎停顿,只有阳光在地板上静静摆过。
