As you know from long time
ago, gold is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Due to the high demand from the
market and small amount that exist on earth, this makes it even more unique.
Gold was wildly making it into jewelry as most of us know, but it is also an
important economical property for a country. To be honest, most of us not
really understand the history of gold, the market price and the demand. Not to
worry much now because we have our one and only gold museum in Malaysia, this
is located at this beautiful Penang Island. If you want to learn more about

大众金行旗下的槟城黄金博物馆划分为几个部分。首先，讲解员带领我们参观仿真的金矿开采隧道场景，途中会透过壁报穿插说明有关黄金的历史来源，世界黄金的分布比例和现况等。我喜欢当天带领我们的June，解说清晰，内容丰富，有问必答，一来一往的互动也提高了参观的兴致。地下矿洞的场景也有立体壁画和道具让大家留影，可在玩乐的过程中感受昔日的地下劳动情景。
Gold museum was divided into
a few different categories. First, our tour guide will bring us to some sort of
time tunnel where all the history and useful information of gold being shown
and explained there. From there, we learn about where the source of gold is and
which country produce the most. We are quite satisfied with our tour guide
June, where she explain everything to us and answer all our question. She makes
it fun and interactive. There are some underground mine mural art there to let
you take some photo.

淘洗黄金 Gold Panning
June教导我们如何将金矿沙放在浅盘用水转动淘洗，看着细沙被水冲走，就能发现较重的金粒落在盘底，微微的金光灿灿让人欣喜，但并不是每一颗金颗粒都是金子，还是得花时间仔细辨别，挺考眼力的。亲身淘金过程充满乐趣，该馆也有售卖小瓶子让淘金者把淘洗到的砂金带回家作纪念，我们在此角落停留许久不想离去。
June teach us how to find gold particles from the sand. By watching the
sand being wash away and the gold slowly appear, it is so exciting. Everyone is
so involve and exciting finding gold. This is such a good interaction for us
where we nowadays tend to forget about it. The most exciting part is you can
bring back the gold that you found. They are selling some small glass key chain
where you can put all the gold that you find in the bottle and make it as a souvenir.
熔银倒模示范 Silver Molding Demonstration
示范员会用高温把模具加热，接着把银片银块融化，烧红成液体状，再加点硼砂提高银的流动度，最后倒入模具定型，数秒过后拿出来过水降温，原本热得发亮耀眼的蛋黄色液体马上变成白色的纯银块。我们在短短的几十秒见证了这奇迹式的转变，把银块握在手心里，感受出炉的重量，心想若这一块是送给我的金快，那该多好啊。
Demonstrator will melt the silver in a very high temperature in a ceramic pot.
After it is completely melted, it is then pouring into a mold that quickly dips
into cold water. It just takes seconds to turn the liquid silver into solid
state. In this few second, we saw the wonder of nature.

槟城黄金博物馆里头也有限量的黄金珍藏系列展览，当中包括精品手工金饰、各国金银钱币、五十公斤打大金块等。多不胜数，眼花缭乱的珍贵，馆内的繁荣光彩会让你惊讶黄金自身的魅力是如此的强大迷人。一趟参观，确属有所收获，不过我们建议博物馆应该定期举行活动、特殊的黄金展览、或增强与到访者的交流，以便更好地提高博物馆展现槟城文化特色的意识。
Penang gold museum have a
lot limited edition gold collection in their exhibition which include jewelry,
gold and silver coin from different country and so on. There is a block of 50kg
gold being display and allowed visitor to touch it. There are so many things
for you to look around and we really gain lots of knowledge after our visit. We
sincerely suggest that Penang gold museum can held some event regularly, do
some unique gold exhibition or enhance communication with the visitors so that
more people will know about this museum and really learn some knowledge about
gold.
